Prayer
Prayer is an important part of the ministry of Lake Washington UMC. Prayer draws us near to God. Praying also brings us nearer to one another and creates community. Through prayer our eyes, ears, and hearts are tuned to the voice and presence of God as well as the suffering and celebration of others around us. Prayer changes us and has power to heal us and to change the world.
Importance of Prayer
Prayer releases the power of God in mysterious ways. All prayers are answered, although not always in the way we desire. Sometimes, it is difficult to accept that "no" and "not yet" are answers. But God does hear, and always wants to know our requests and maintain communication with us.
