Available Ministries
- Adults
- We're committed to equipping adults with authentic, challenging education about Christ, His church, and His teachings. Men's Ministry is dedicated to providing men with pathways for spiritual growth through Christian fellowship, effective discipleship, and mission outreach. Our Women's Ministry seeks to evangelize, encourage and equip women in their personal walk with Jesus Christ through Christian fellowship, learning and service.
- Youth
- Our mission is to build a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious students are becoming deeply committed Christians. We accomplish this mission by equipping parents, adults and staff, as well as offering contemporary programs to lead students into a deeply committed faith.
- Children
- Children's Ministries mentors children from birth to know, love and follow Jesus Christ, and to help their families become deeply committed Christians.
- Prayer
- Prayer is an important part of the ministry of Lake Washington UMC. Prayer draws us near to God
- Missions
- Our Missions Ministry develops deeply committed Christians by sending members of our congregation into our community, denomination and world to make disciples and serve others in ways that honor God, share Christ, transform lives and promote justice.
- Music
- Music, that God-given gift, finds its richest expression in Christian worship. The Christian faith sings because it has the most beautiful and substantive message entrusted by God to people, namely, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Consider using your God-given gift of music through the ministry of music at Lake Washington UMC. We are blessed with many opportunities to serve in the music ministry. Know that YOU ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!
- Worship
- Worship Ministries offer a wide range of opportunities for service, from greeting worshipers to sharing your musical gifts to assisting with audio/visual equipment. Whether you prefer a traditional, contemporary, blended, or other worship style, we have a place for you to serve and glorify God.
- Labyrinth
- The labyrinth may look like a maze, it is simply a winding path into and out of the center, much like our spiritual lives. Walking the labyrinth as a path of prayer, healing and contemplation dates back to the Middle Ages, and a pattern similar to the LWUMC's Labyrinth canvas is found in the floor of the beautiful cathedral in Chartres, France.
